Location

One of the best ways to explore Nelson Lakes National Park is by air! Book this 60 minute scenic helicopter flight here and fly over New Zealand's Southern Alps with aerial views of the world's clearest fresh water lake-Blue Lake. As you take to the skies, watch in awe as the breathtaking views of the mountain range and natural scenery unfold before you. Among some of the lakes that the flight path will cover are Lake Rotoiti, Lake Rotoroa and the famous Blue Lake. Listen in on your headset to interesting commentary as the pilot flies over unique landforms, habitats and shares the stories behind the sacred Maori waters of Blue Lake. A mountain landing is included in the experience on the boundary of the National Park giving you the opportunity to stop and marvel at the scenery.

The entire experience will last 2 hours with a 60 minute flight time and passengers can choose between a flight at 10am, 12pm and 2pm. All helicopter flights depart from the Nelson Base.
